1. Acceptance of Terms

Welcome to LogForge Templates Registry ("Service", "Platform", "we", "our", or "us"), operated by Fulcrum Technology Solutions. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of our website, API, and services.

By accessing or using LogForge Templates Registry, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use the Service.

You must be at least 13 years old to use this Service. If you are under 18, you represent that you have your parent's or guardian's permission to use the Service.

2. Description of Service

LogForge Templates Registry is a web-based platform and API that provides:

• Access to a registry of security event log templates for various vendors and products
• Browsing, searching, and downloading template packages
• User accounts for managing API keys and tracking usage
• Community features including ratings and feedback on templates
• RESTful API for programmatic access to template data
• Synchronization with the official LogForge Templates GitHub repository

Templates are designed for generating synthetic log data for SIEM testing, analytics validation, threat hunting training, and security operations testing. The Service does not provide actual security monitoring or threat detection capabilities.

3. User Accounts

3.1 Account Creation

You may create an account by providing a username and email address, or by authenticating through GitHub or Google OAuth. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.

3.2 Account Responsibilities

You agree to:

• Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration
• Update your account information promptly if it changes
• Maintain the security of your password and API keys
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
• Accept responsibility for all actions taken using your account

3.3 Account Termination

You may delete your account at any time through your account settings. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent or illegal activity, or abuse the Service.

4. API Usage and Rate Limits

4.1 API Access

Registered users may generate API keys for programmatic access to our services. API keys are personal to your account and must be kept confidential.

4.2 Rate Limits

To ensure fair usage and prevent abuse, we enforce rate limits:

• Browsing/Read Operations: 100 requests per minute
• Download Operations: 10 requests per minute

Exceeding rate limits may result in temporary or permanent suspension of API access. Rate limits are subject to change with notice.

4.3 API Key Security

You are responsible for securing your API keys. Do not share API keys publicly, commit them to version control, or embed them in client-side code. If an API key is compromised, revoke it immediately and generate a new one.

5. Templates and Content

5.1 Template License

Templates available through LogForge Templates Registry are provided under the MIT License and are sourced from the official LogForge Templates GitHub repository. By downloading or using templates, you agree to comply with the MIT License terms, including:

• The right to use, copy, modify, merge, publish, and distribute templates
• Inclusion of the copyright notice and license in all copies
• Acceptance that templates are provided "AS IS" without warranty

5.2 Template Accuracy

Templates are designed to generate synthetic log data that resembles real-world security events. However, we make no guarantees about the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of templates for any specific purpose. Templates are provided for testing, training, and development purposes only.

5.3 Template Updates

Templates are automatically synchronized from the GitHub repository. We do not guarantee continuous availability of specific templates, and templates may be updated, modified, or removed at any time without notice.

5.4 Community and AI-Generated Content

The LogForge Templates Registry includes content that may be contributed by community members, generated using artificial intelligence (AI) tools, or created through automated processes. You acknowledge and agree that:

• Content Source: Templates, metadata, descriptions, and other content may be community-contributed, AI-generated, or created through various automated means. Fulcrum Technology Solutions does not pre-screen, endorse, or validate all content available through the Service.
• Opinion Disclaimer: Content, including template descriptions, documentation, and user feedback, represents the opinions, interpretations, and work of individual contributors or AI systems, not the official positions, recommendations, or views of Fulcrum Technology Solutions or its affiliates.
• No Endorsement: The inclusion of content in the Service does not constitute an endorsement, recommendation, or warranty by Fulcrum Technology Solutions. We make no representations about the accuracy, completeness, reliability, or suitability of community-generated or AI-generated content.
• Independent Validation Required: You are solely responsible for independently validating, testing, and reviewing all templates and content before use in any production, testing, or training environment. You should not rely solely on community ratings, descriptions, or AI-generated content without conducting your own verification.
• AI-Generated Content Risks: AI-generated content may contain errors, inaccuracies, or reflect biases present in training data. Such content is provided as-is without any warranty regarding accuracy, completeness, or appropriateness for your specific use case.
• Community Content Risks: Community-contributed content may contain inaccuracies, outdated information, or reflect the contributor's interpretation rather than vendor specifications or industry best practices. Fulcrum Technology Solutions assumes no responsibility for the quality, accuracy, or maintenance of community-contributed content.
• No Liability: Fulcrum Technology Solutions, its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, agents, and licensors shall not be liable for any damages, losses, or issues arising from your use of, reliance on, or inability to use community-generated or AI-generated content, including but not limited to security incidents, compliance failures, or operational disruptions.

By using templates and content from the Service, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to assume all risks associated with community-generated and AI-generated content, and you release Fulcrum Technology Solutions from any claims, damages, or liabilities arising therefrom.

6. User-Generated Content

6.1 Feedback and Ratings

You may submit ratings (1-5 stars) and comments ("Feedback") about templates. By submitting Feedback, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual license to use, display, and distribute your Feedback in connection with the Service.

6.2 Content Standards

Your Feedback must not:

• Contain offensive, abusive, defamatory, or discriminatory language
• Violate any laws or infringe upon any third-party rights
• Contain spam, advertisements, or solicitations
• Include personal information of others
• Misrepresent your identity or affiliation

6.3 Content Moderation

We reserve the right to review, edit, or remove any Feedback that violates these Terms or is otherwise objectionable, at our sole discretion. We are not obligated to monitor user content but may do so to enforce these Terms.

7. Prohibited Uses

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any illegal purpose or in violation of any local, state, national, or international law
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the Service, other accounts, computer systems, or networks
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service, servers, or networks connected to the Service
• Use automated systems (bots, scrapers, etc.) to access the Service beyond API endpoints, except with our explicit written permission
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any portion of the Service
• Use the Service to generate logs for malicious purposes, including but not limited to:
  • Creating fraudulent security alerts
  • Generating logs to mislead security teams
  • Using synthetic data to commit fraud or deceive others
• Resell, redistribute, or sublicense templates in violation of the MIT License
• Impersonate any person or entity or falsely state or misrepresent your affiliation
• Harvest or collect information about users without their consent
• Use the Service in a manner that could damage, disable, overburden, or impair our servers or infrastructure

8. Intellectual Property

8.1 Platform and Service

The LogForge Templates Registry platform, including its design, functionality, API, and underlying code, is the property of Fulcrum Technology Solutions or its licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

8.2 Templates

Templates are licensed under the MIT License as specified in Section 5.1. Template contributors retain their copyright, and templates may be used in accordance with the MIT License terms.

8.3 Trademarks

"LogForge" and the LogForge logo are trademarks of Fulcrum Technology Solutions. You may not use our trademarks without our prior written permission. Vendor and product names used in templates are trademarks of their respective owners.

9. Disclaimers and Limitations of Liability

9.1 Service Availability

We strive to maintain continuous availability of the Service but do not guarantee uninterrupted, secure, or error-free operation. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control.

9.2 Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, OR COURSE OF PERFORMANCE.

WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT:

• The Service will meet your requirements or expectations
• The Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free
• Templates will be accurate, complete, or suitable for your intended use
• Errors or defects will be corrected
• The Service is free of viruses or other harmful components

9.3 Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL FULCRUM TECHNOLOGY SOLUTIONS, ITS AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, OR LICENSORS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

• Loss of profits, revenue, data, or use
• Business interruption or loss of business opportunities
• Security incidents or data breaches resulting from use of templates
• Errors or omissions in template-generated data

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR $100, WHICHEVER IS GREATER.

9.4 Appropriate Use

Templates generate synthetic data for testing and training purposes only. You are solely responsible for ensuring that your use of templates and generated data complies with all applicable laws and regulations, including data protection and privacy laws. We are not responsible for any misuse of templates or generated data.

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Fulcrum Technology Solutions, its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, agents, and licensors from and against any and all claims, damages, obligations, losses, liabilities, costs, or debt, and expenses (including but not limited to attorney's fees) arising from:

• Your use of or access to the Service
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of any third-party right, including intellectual property or privacy rights
• Your misuse of templates or generated data
• Any Feedback or content you submit

11. Termination

11.1 Termination by You

You may stop using the Service at any time. You may delete your account and revoke your API keys through your account settings.

11.2 Termination by Us

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service, with or without cause or notice, for any reason, including but not limited to:

• Violation of these Terms
• Fraudulent, illegal, or harmful activity
• Abuse of the Service or API
• Extended periods of inactivity
• At our discretion for business or operational reasons

11.3 Effect of Termination

Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease. We may delete or anonymize your account data in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination shall survive, including Sections 5 (Templates and Content), 8 (Intellectual Property), 9 (Disclaimers), and 10 (Indemnification).

12. Dispute Resolution

12.1 Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

12.2 Informal Resolution

Before filing a formal legal claim, you agree to contact us to attempt to resolve the dispute informally. We will attempt to resolve disputes in good faith within 30 days of notification.

13. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, when appropriate, through email notification or prominent notice on our website.

Your continued use of the Service after such changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree to the modified Terms, you must stop using the Service and may delete your account.

14. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that these Terms shall otherwise remain in full force and effect.

15. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Fulcrum Technology Solutions regarding the use of LogForge Templates Registry and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.
